Reports and export
Towing company reports and CSV export that show their work

The short answer
Towing company reports answer how fast you respond, where your work comes from, who pays and what you have collected. In TowSitePros you see them for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, every number shows what it was measured on, and each report exports to CSV.
What do the towing reports show?
The reports cover outcomes and speed, money, where the work came from and how customers responded. You pick the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and the page compares the period with the one before it.
Outcomes and speed show the jobs logged, how many were completed, and how many were cancelled or gone when the truck arrived, plus the median time to first response and time to scene. Money shows the quoted value of completed jobs, payments recorded, completed jobs still unpaid and invoices issued.
- Jobs by source, by who pays and by service
- Median time to first response and time to scene
- Collected, unpaid and invoiced amounts
- Collected by unit, for the jobs marked paid
- Tracking links opened and review requests sent, opened and answered
How honest are the numbers?
Every rate shows what it was measured on. A median says how many jobs it was measured on out of the total, and a number the product does not have enough data for says so, instead of showing a confident zero.
A job you never priced adds nothing to a total instead of adding a flattering zero, and a completed job with no price is counted but not totalled. If a screen cannot load, it tells you the numbers cannot be trusted right now rather than showing a smaller total.
What can you export to CSV?
You can download the jobs for the period you are viewing as a CSV, and there are separate files for invoices, for driver pay and for each commercial account. The jobs file carries the source, payer, service, customer, pickup, quote and final price, payment status, assigned unit and the milestone times, in your own time zone.
The files are written to open cleanly in a spreadsheet, and a cell that begins with a formula character is neutralized so a customer name cannot run as a formula when you open the file.
What are the account statements and driver pay reports?
For an account you work for, such as a body shop, a fleet or a police rotation, you can download a monthly statement CSV for that account and a rotation report CSV. The statement carries money and payment status, and the rotation report carries times, dispatch numbers, vehicles and units but no money at all.
The driver pay report works out each driver's pay from the rule on their roster entry, either a percentage of the job or a flat amount, for the dates you choose. Changing a rule changes what past periods show, so set an amount by hand on a job you have already paid.
What do the reports not do?
They are not accounting or payroll software, nothing is emailed on a schedule, and they only know what has been recorded. A phone call nobody logged is not in a report, and a payment nobody marked paid is not collected.
The customers directory lists everyone you have done work for with first and last job and what you collected, and the accounts directory shows jobs and billed work per account. Nothing in either bills or chases anyone for you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open the exports in Excel?
Yes. The files are standard CSV with timestamps in your own time zone, so they open in Excel, Google Sheets or any spreadsheet program. Cells that could run as formulas are neutralized.
Do phone jobs appear in the reports?
Yes, if someone logged them. Jobs from your website, the phone, a motor club, a fleet account, the API or a spreadsheet import all land in the same record and count in the same reports.
Can I get my data out if I leave?
Yes. Every report exports to CSV and every job can be pulled out through the API, so your history is not locked in the reports screen.
Does it work out what my drivers earned?
It reports driver pay from the percentage or flat amount you set for each driver, for jobs that have a final price. Treat it as a worksheet to check against your own payroll, not as payroll itself.
